Alberto Vázquez

アニメーション監督、イラストレーター、漫画家。著作や漫画はスペイン、フランス、イタリア、ブラジル、韓国などの国で出版されている。イラストレーターとしては、ELPAIS、La Voz Galicia、Vanity Fair、Communication Arts、Boston Globeといった雑誌で定期的に活動している。 自作の漫画を原作として『Birdboy』『ユニコーンの血』といった短編作品の脚本と監督を担当。それらの作品はゴヤ賞に二度ノミネート。2012年には最優秀短編アニメーション賞を受賞した。シカゴ映画祭、Foyle、Silver Melies、Expotoonといった国際的なイベントにおいてこれまで60以上の賞を獲得しており、カンヌ、トロント、アヌシー、クレルモンフェラン、ザグレブ、スラムダンスといった著名な映画祭で上映されている。バスケス自身の同名のグラフィックノベルが原作となった一作目の長編Psiconautasをちょうど完成したところである（ペドロ・リベラが共同監督）。

Animation director, illustrator and cartoonist. His books and comics have been published in countries like Spain, France, Italy, Brazil and Korea. As press illustrator he has published regularly in magazines like ELPAIS, La Voz de Galicia, Vanity Fair, Communication Arts or Boston Globe magazine. He has written and directed short animation as "Birdboy" and "Unicorn blood" based in his comics. His work has been nominated on two occasions for the Goya Awards, winning the Goya Best Animated Short Film in 2012. He has won over 60 awards in international events such as the Festival of Chicago, Foyle, Silver Meliés or Expotoon. His works have been exhibited in prestigious festivals worldwide as Cannes, Toronto, Annecy, Clermond-Ferrand, Animafest Zagreb or Slamdance. He just finished his first featured film "Psiconautas", co-directed with Pedro Rivero, based on the graphic novel of the same name by the own Vázquez.
