SYNOPSIS
「充分に発達した科学技術は魔法と見分けがつかない」、アーサー・C・クラーク。n太平洋戦争のさなかパプアの海岸沿い。そこで人々は新しい儀式を持つカーゴの神の寛容さを求めていた。

Bastien Dubois
1983年に生まれ。ヴァランシエンヌのスパンフォコムでCGI監督について学び2006年に学位を取得。AHというタイトルでCGIの卒業短編映画を制作した。旅行好きで、フランス北部からトルコのイスタンブールへ向かっている時に、旅行日誌のアニメーションを作ることを思いつく。最初の自主映画『Madagascar, a Journey diary』は、大きな赤い島への1年間の旅行に基づいて作られた。この映画は非常に評価が高く、サンダンスを含む多くの国際映画祭で200を超えるセレクションを受けた。また2011年にはオスカーにもノミネーションされ、2012年には、映画に基づき『Faces From Places』というタイトルのテレビ番組が作られ、その監督を務めた。この番組は世界の様々な国を3分間で紹介する紀行ものアニメーションで20編からなっている。
Born in 1983, Bastien Dubois earned his diploma in CGI directing from Supinfocom, in Valenciennes, in 2006. His CGI graduation short was entitled AH. Bastien Dubois is a keen traveler, and it was during a trip from north of France to Istanbul, Turkey, that he had the idea of making animated travel log. His first independant film "Madagascar, a Journey diary" was based on a one year trip to the big red island. This film was pretty well received : he get more than 200 selections in international festivals including Sundance and got an oscar nomination in 2011... In 2012 he directed a TV program based on "Madagascar, a Journey diary" called "Faces From Places" a series of 20 animated 3 minute travelogue films featuring different countries around the world.
