SYNOPSIS
ある現代の恋人達の密かな恋が、夜の電話でほろ苦い終わりを迎える。携帯電話の雑音がお互いの関係に苦悩する二人の距離感を表す。この春、愛は芸術よりも戦争になる。
A modern-day couple’s secret love affair comes to a bittersweet end during an evening phone call. Cell phone static widens the gap between them as they each re-imagine their relationship.

ジョナサンはモントリオールを拠点とする受賞映画制作者である。脚本、監督、アニメーションを担当した2012年の作品『Requiem For Romance』は世界の映画祭で上映され、アニマ・ムンディ2013で最高芸術監督賞を受賞した。トロントに生まれ、シェリダン、セネカ、そしてコンコルディア大学で、手書き、3D、実験技術などについてアニメーションを学び、その間Teletoon奨学金を獲得した。プロとしての最初の作品として、2006年にはカナダ国立映画制作庁で『Asthma Tech』を制作し、脚本、監督、アニメーションをこなした。続いて2007年にはライバルとなるキッドコアラと協力し、2作目の『Floor Kids』を共同制作した。
Jonathan is an award-winning animation filmmaker based in Montreal. His latest film Requiem For Romance, which he wrote, directed and animated in 2012, has toured festivals around the world and recently won the Best Art Direction award at Anima Mundi 2013. Born in Toronto, he studied animation at Sheridan, Seneca, and Concordia University in a variety of hand-drawn, 3D and experimental techniques, and won several Teletoon scholarships throughout his academic career. He wrote, directed and animated his first professional film Asthma Tech at the National Film Board of Canada in 2006 and then went on to co-produce his second film Floor Kids in collaboration with Kid Koala, which went viral in 2007.
