SYNOPSIS
油絵で構成されたアニメーション。無限に広い現実や無限に深い時空と比較すると、人間の歴史は極めて小さな存在。現実と歴史は、もはや本物ではなく、崩壊の危機に瀕している。特に、この数年で起きた世界中の大惨事は、人間の世界を瞬時にサーカスのような状況へと変化させた。人間の人生にとって、明日は今日の投影であり、今日は昨日の投影である。そして、人が生まれて死ぬまでの間に、その投影は絶え間なく前後に動き続けるのだ。どの瞬間が真の自分なのか？影のそのまた影のそのまた影のように思えるのは時と空間だけ。おびただしく広がる空間と時の中で、すべての意味が消え、確実性がなくなる…。このアニメーションの中の言葉のない手紙だけが、偽りのない真実なのだ！
Shocking Dreams in the Circus is an animation composed of oil paintings. Faced with an infinitely vast reality and an infinitely deep space-time, human history is extremely small. スン・シュンは1980年、中国遼寧省阜新市生まれ。2005年に中国美術学院版画学科を卒業し、2006年に北京でπ Animation Studioを設立。中国のニューメディアアートを代表するアーティストとして、スン・シュンは国内外の展覧会や受賞により評価を受ける。彼のアニメーション作品はベルリン国際映画祭やヴェネチア国際映画祭にノミネートされている。
Sun Xun was born in 1980 in Fuxin, Liaoning province, China. He graduated in 2005 from the Printmaking Department of the China Academy of Art. In 2006, he established π Animation Studio in Beijing. As a leading figure in Chinese new media art, Sun Xun soon received recognition from exhibitions and awards both in China and abroad. His animation works have been nominated at the Berlin International Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival.
