少女の怒りと悲しみ。凍てつく冬と、閉鎖的な村社会。シンプルな描線で描かれたこの物語は、驚くべき臨場感で僕の心に飛び込んできた。不穏な導入部分、そしてソリのシーンの迫力！アニメートのうまさに加えて、巧みなストーリーテリング。少女の蹴った氷のカケラがチラチラと赤く光る時、これから起こる惨劇の予感にただ震えるしかない。僕は今凄いものを見ているという確信、興奮。文句の付けようがない。審査会議、満場一致の大傑作です。
A young girl's anger and grief. A frigid winter. An insular community. This story, painted with simple brushstrokes, plunges right to the heart with its striking realism. From its alarming opening to a breathtaking sledding scene, it is a skillful blend of animation and storytelling. I couldn't help shudder with dread at the sight of a shard of glass glimmering red as if to presage a tragedy. It filled me with the conviction and excitement that I have just seen something great. I have no complaints. The panel was unanimous in calling it a masterpiece.
