音響生命体ノイズマン Noiseman Sound Insect
SYNOPSIS
STUDIO4℃とバンダイビジュアルが1997年に制作した短編アニメーション。人々から音楽を奪い、街を支配する怪物ノイズマンと、音楽の実によってノイズの呪縛から解き放たれた少年少女達の戦いを描く。監督はSTUDIO4℃を代表するクリエイター森本晃司。キャラクターデザイン・世界観設定・作画監督に湯浅政明を起用し、かつてない色彩感覚と造形センスでアニメーションに新風を吹き込んだ。疾走感溢れる音楽を手掛けたのは管野よう子。当初からDVD化を想定して作られ、映像と音響の両面にデジタル技術を大幅に導入したことでも話題を呼んだ。わずか15分という短さながら、スピーディな展開と魅力的なビジュアルで熱狂的なファンを獲得し、カルトムービー化。

アニメーション制作会社STUDIO4℃の創設に携わり、2009年の独立後クリエイティブチームPhy(ファイ)を主宰。 アニメーション制作はプロットからレイアウト、絵コンテ、キャラクターデザイン、原画、背景、美術、全てのパートを担当する業界でも数少ないアニメーション監督。 また3DCGIと手描きアニメーションを融合させた作品を黎明期より生み出し、その為のソフトも開発するなど現在の日本独自のセルルックアニメーションの手法の礎を築いた第一人者。
He co-founded the animation production company STUDIO4℃ (Musashino-shi, Tokyo), and after becoming independent in 2009, he co-founded the creative team, Phy. He is one of the few animation directors in the industry who handles all parts of the animation production process, from plotting, storyboarding, layout, character design, key animation, and backgrounds. He has been creating works that blend 3D CGI and hand-drawn animation since the early days of animation and is also a pioneer in the development of software for the fusion of 3D CGI and hand-drawn animation, laying the foundation for Japan’s current unique Cel shading animation techniques.
