チリの二人組監督による初長編『オオカミの家』が凱旋上映。
今、日本を席巻する脅威の話題作『オオカミの家』は、2019年に本映画祭コンペティション長編部門に入選し、ジャパンプレミアとしてクリストバル・レオン監督がチリから来場されました。本作は世界10カ所以上の美術館に実寸大セットを組んで制作。その過程をエキシビションとして公開する手法で完成させています。全編ワンシーン・ワンカットで空間が変容し続ける“異形”のアニメーション。爆音上映で没入を！
“The Wolf House,” the sensational film currently taking Japan by storm, was selected for the Feature Competition at our festival in 2019, when director Cristóbal León traveled from Chile to attend its Japan premiere. The film was created using life-size sets constructed in more than ten museums around the world, with the production process itself presented to the public as an exhibition. Unfolding entirely in a single scene and a single take, it is a singular work of animation in which the space continuously transforms.
SYNOPSIS
美しい山々に囲まれたチリ南部のドイツ人集落。“助け合って幸せに”をモットーとするその集落に、動物が大好きなマリアという美しい娘が暮らしていた。ある日、ブタを逃がしてしまったマリアは、きびしい罰に耐えられず集落から脱走してしまう。逃げ込んだ一軒家で出会った 2 匹の子ブタに「ペドロ」「アナ」と名付け、世話をすることにしたマリア。だが、安心したのも束の間、森の奥から彼女を探すオオカミの声が聞こえはじめる。怯えるマリアに呼応するように、子ブタは恐ろしい姿に形を変え、家は悪夢のような禍々しい世界と化していく......。
Maria, a young woman finds refuge in a house in the south of Chile after escaping from a sect of German religious fanatics. She is welcomed into the home by two pigs, the only inhabitants of the place. Like in a dream, the universe of the house reacts to Maria’s feelings. The animals transform slowly into humans and the house becomes a nightmarish world. Inspired on the actual case of Colonia Dignidad, “The Wolf House” masquerades as an animated fairy tale produced by the leader of the sect in order to indoctrinate its followers.
