How My Grandmother Became A Chair
SYNOPSIS
欲深い子供たちが去ってからというもの、おばあさんの体調は悪くなる。感覚をひとつずつ失い、次第に椅子へと変わっていく彼女を、繊細な心を持つ獣の家政婦ローズは食い止めることができない。しかし、ふたりの関係が平等になっていくにつれ、ローズは人間の姿を取り戻す。そして、おばあさんが常に追い求めていた本物の家族の一員になる。死と真実が社会的な偏見を消していく様子を描く、人生についての物語。
Grandmother is deteriorating after her greedy children had left her. Rose, her thorny housekeeper beast is unable to prevent her transformation into a chair as Grandmother loses her senses one by one. Hierarchy dissolves into equality between the two women when Rose regains her human figure and turns out to be the real family member Grandmother was always looking for.
This story is about life, death and the truths revealed when social stigmas fall off.

Nicolas Fattouh
1994年2月26日、北レバノン、モンセフ生まれのヴィジュアル・アーティスト兼監督。2015年にレバノン芸術アカデミーの卒業制作として、アニメーション作品『Le voleur de casseroles』を制作。2018年のデビュー作『How grandmother became a chair』はドイツとレバノンの合作で、ロバート・ボッシュ財団の映画賞を受賞した。
Nicolas Fattouh (born February 26, 1994 in Monsef - north Lebanon) is a visual artist and director. He graduated from Academie Libanaise Des Beaux Arts in 2015 with his animation “Le voleur de casseroles”. 2018 his debut film “How grandmother became a chair” received The Film Prize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung as german-lebanese co-production.
