Amy Johnson worked as a typist for a firm of solicitors before her record- breaking solo flight from Croydon to Australia in 1930. This film has been created with an Underwood 315 typewriter as a celebration of her journey.

Elizabeth Hobbs is an animator based in East London. She has been making films for 16 years. Her films are driven by a strong narrative, experimental in form and often based on curious overlooked stories from history. Her films often employ methods from her printmaking background, but always explore and stretch the material possibilities of the medium. Her films have won a great many awards and travelled widely to international film festivals.
