Emma De SwaefnSint-Lucas Brussels University College of Art and Designでドキュメンタリー映画を学び、ストップ・モーション・アニメーションを使用した卒業作品の『Soft Plants』で高い評価を受けた。オランダ国際アニメーション映画祭とザグレブ国際アニメーション映画祭では、『Oh Willy（2012、Marc James ROELSと共同監督）』でグランプリを受賞した。nnMarc James ROELSnベルギーのゲントにある王立美術アカデミーでアニメーションを学ぶ。その後、実写短編映画3本の監督を務め、ベルリン映画祭、クレルモンフェラン短編映画祭を含む国際映画祭で受賞、ノミネートされている。
Emma De Swaefnstudied documentary film at Sint-Lucas Brussels University College of Art and Design and received acclaim for Soft Plants, her graduation film in which she utilized stop-motion animation. Won the Grand Prix at the Holland International Animation Festival and Animafest Zagreb for Oh Willy… （2012/co-directed with Marc James Roels）. nnMarc James ROELSnstudied animation at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium. He has directed three live-action short films which have each garnered several international awards and nominations, including the Berlin Film Festival and Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival.
