Max HATTLER

ロンドンのゴールドスミスとロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アートで学ぶ。彼の映画、ビデオ・インスタレーション、オーディオビジュアル・パフォーマンスは、抽象的概念と比喩的表現、美学と政治、音と映像、精密さと即興の間の緊張関係へのチャレンジである。過去2年間の作品には『Hattlerizer 2.0パフォーマンス』、360度フルドーム・フィルム『Constant Sky』、『ウォータースクリーン・インスタレーションX』、抽象的SF映画『Shift』、 『Model Starship』、『Unclear Proof』、アムネスティ・インターナショナルのための『Stop the Show』キャンペーンフィルム、そして『Kaleidobooth』携帯アプリがある。

Max Hattler was educated in London at Goldsmiths and the Royal College of Art. His films, video installations and audiovisual performances challenge the tensions between abstraction and figuration, aesthetics and politics, sound and image, precision and improvisation. Works from the last two years include the Hattlerizer 2.0 performance, 360° fulldome film Constant Sky, water-screen installation X, abstract sci-fi films Shift, Model Starship and Unclear Proof, the Stop the Show campaign film for Amnesty International, and the Kaleidobooth mobile phone app. Hattler has had solo exhibitions and retrospectives at Schaustelle/Pinakothek der Moderne Munich, Playgrounds Festival, Lumen Eclipse, Image Forum Festival, Fredrikstad Animation Festival, Go Short Nijmegen, Media Art Friesland and others. He has performed live around the world, including the Museum of Image and Sound in Sao Paulo, the European Media Art Festival and SuperDeluxe Tokyo. Max Hattler lives in London where he’s a Doctorate in Fine Art candidate at University of East London, and teaches at Goldsmiths and University of the Arts London.
