Don Hertzfeldt
ドン・ハーツフェルト(1976年生まれ）はアカデミー賞ノミネート作家で、その作品は世界中の1000を超える映画祭等の会場で上映されている。1998年にカリフォルニア大学サンタバーバラ校の映画学科の在学中に『ああ愛というものは』(1995年）、『ジャンル』(1996年）、『リリーとジム』(1997年）、『ビリーの風船』(1998年）を制作。『ビリーの風船』は1998年のカンヌ映画祭にノミネートされた。それに続く『リジェクテッド』(2000年）は2001年のオスカーにノミネート。『人生の意味』(2005年)、『きっとすべて大丈夫』(2006年)、『あなたは私の誇り』(2008年)も多くの観客を惹きつけている。1995年以来、彼の作品は150を超える国際的な賞を受賞している。
Don Hertzfeldt is an Oscar-nominated American independent filmmaker whose animated films include Its Such a Beautiful Day, The Meaning of Life, Billys Balloon, and Rejected. His work has played around the world, receiving over 200 awards, and recently made a special guest appearance on The Simpsons. Seven of his films have screened in competition at the Sundance Film Festival, where he is the only filmmaker to have won the overall Grand Jury Prize for Short Film twice. His first feature film, Its Such a Beautiful Day, was named by several critics as one of the Top Ten Films of 2012. In 2014, Time Out New York named Its Such a Beautiful Day # 16 on their list of the "100 Best Animated Movies Ever Made."
