子供のためのアニメーション制作の中で、個々の作品ごとに考えてきたことや、自分自身の子供時代の時間感覚の実感を通じ、また夢における「時制」の不在とアニメーションにおける時間の問題を繋げ、「時間」の存在について考察する。また古今の様々な識者による時間についての思想をたどりながら、『マイブリッジの糸』の創作の中で考えた「創造性」と「時間の矢」の関係を提示する。
In this lecture, I will discuss the existence of time through various topics such as my thoughts while making films for children and the sense of time I felt in my childhood. The absence of time in dreams will be connected with the notion of time in animation films. While tracing the thoughts of thinkers and philosophers on time, I will present my idea about the relationship between “creativity” and “the arrow of time.”

山村浩二 ( YAMAMURA Koji )
1964年生まれ。東京造形大学卒業。90年代『カロとピヨブプト』『パクシ』『バベルの本』など子どものためのアニメー ションを多彩な技法で制作。2002年『頭山』がアヌシー、ザグレブをはじめ世界の主要なアニメーション映画祭で6つのグランプリを受賞、第75回アカデ ミー賞®短編アニメーション部門にノミネートされる。『頭山』は、アヌシー国際アニメーション映画祭が選ぶ「アニメーションの一世紀 100作品」、「ASIFA50周年記念アニメーションベスト50」に選出される。ま た『カフカ 田舎医者』がオタワ、シュトゥットガルトなど７つのグランプリを受賞。世界4大アニメーション映画祭すべてでグランプリを受賞、大藤信郎賞、広島での２度 のグランプリ、文化庁メディア芸術祭優秀賞受賞５回受賞など、これまで国内外の受賞は 80を越える。
2010年文化交流使としてカナダで活動。2011年カナダ国立映画制作庁とのアジア初の共同制作アニメーションとして『マイブリッジの 糸』が完成。DVD作品集は日本、フランス、アメリカ、カナダ、韓国で発売されている。2013年よりアニメーションストア＆ギャラリーAu Praxinoscope（オープラクシノスコープ）を開設。
『くだもの だもの』（福音館書店）、『ん』（講談社）、『雨ニモマケズ Rain Won’t』（今人舎）「ながいでしょ りっぱでしょ」（PHP研究所 ）など絵本画家、イラストレーターとしても活躍。『おやおや、おやさい』（福音館書店）は20万部を超えるロングセラー。 2006年アジアアニメーション映画祭にて優秀アーティスト賞、2008年ブラチスラヴァ・アニメーション・ビエンナーレにてアルビーン・ブルノフスキー名誉メダル授与、2012年第30回川喜多賞受賞、2014年ヴィースバーデン市文化局賞受賞。日本アニメーション協会副会長、ASIFA日本支部理事、ヤマムラアニメーション有限会社代表取締役、比治山大学客員教授、東京造形大学客員教授、東京藝術大学教授。
Koji Yamamura was born in 1964. After graduating from Tokyo Zokei University, Yamamura created many short animation films for children using a variety of techniques (Karo and Piyobupt, Pakuci, and Bavel’s Book). Mt. Head (2002) was nominated for an Oscar® in 2003, and awarded six Grand Prix awards, including Annecy 03, Zagreb 04 and Hiroshima 04. Mt. Head was selected as one of the 100 FILMS FOR A CENTURY OF ANIMATION and one of the 50 Best Animated Films in 50 Years of ASIFA. Franz Kafka’s A Country Doctor (2007) was awarded the Grand Prix at Ottawa in 2007 and also won a prize at the Internationales TrickFilm Festival in Stuttgart. So far, Yamamura has won more than 80 awards, including two grand prizes at Hiroshima, and the Noburo Ofuji prize. He is the only director in the world to have been a Grand Prix winner at five major international animation festivals. With Muybridge’s Strings (2011), he became the first Asian filmmaker to co-produce an animated film with the National Film Board of Canada. Since 2013, he has run a animation shop and gallery: “Au Praxinoscope.” He is also an illustrator and several of his picture books have been published. He has been a Visiting Professor at Tokyo Zokei University since 2004, and a Professor at the Graduate School of Film and New Media in the Tokyo University of the Arts Department of Animation since 2008. Since 2013, he has also been a Visiting Professor at Hijuyama University.
