フランスの知られざるアニメーション作家アンドレ・ランドンが1984年にほぼ個人制作で制作した長編アニメーション。セルアニメーションでは見たことがない、数々の大胆かつ美しい画面展開。ダイアローグなしで展開される、少年と人魚の少女のひと夏の恋の物語。今年のアヌシー国際アニメーション映画祭のフランス特集にて話題になった、伝説の作品です。
This legendary 1984 feature film was almost made by French animator Andre Lindon alone. It features an amazing use of cel animation and beautiful composition. Without dialogue, it depicts a subtle love affair between a boy and a mermaid.
SYNOPSIS
ノルマンディーの海岸で、少年は孤独な休暇の退屈さを乗り切ろうとする。テニスをしたり、自転車に乗ったり……しかし日々は長く、満ち足りない。ある日少年は透明な少女と出会い、謎めいた彼女のことを知ろうとしはじめる。
On the Normandy Beach, a young boy tries the boredom of lonely holidays. Tennis or walks by bicycle fail to fulfill its long days. He meets a young transparent girl he seeks to unravel the mystery.
