高井息吹 “瞼” Eve "Mabuta"

SYNOPSIS

シンガーソングライターである高井息吹の楽曲「瞼」のアニメーションミュージックビデオ。巨大な貝殻の横たわる辺境の地を舞台に大きなまぶたを持つ不思議な魚白馬をじっと見つめる少女の様子が淡々と描かれる。作者がこの楽曲を初めて聞いた時「また会えるかな」「ずっとそばにいれるかな」という歌詞から恋心のようなものがテーマにあると解釈したが、どうもその恋心の対象が具体的な異性やあるいは同性に対するものであるとイメージすることができなかった。その対象はもっと大きな決して触れることのできない何かのように感じた。子供の頃、自然の中を駆け巡りふとした拍子に見た美しい景色や布団の中で息を潜めて読んだ童話の中の魅力的な生き物。日々の生活の中で掠れて忘れていた遠い昔のそうしたものへの感情を本作品では描こうと試みた。アナログタッチの淡い色彩で夢の中のような雰囲気を表現している。

Animation music video for singer-songwriter Takai Fumi's song "Eyelid". It depicts a girl who stares at a mysterious fish-white horse with big eyelids, set in a remote place where a huge shell lies. When I first heard this song, the lyrics "Can I see you again?" and "Can I stay with you forever?", I couldn't imagine the emotion sang here was toward someone who was a different gender (or a same one). I felt that the object was something much bigger, something that could never be touched. It was something like the beautiful scenery I saw as a child when I ran around in nature or the fascinating creatures in the fairy tales I read under my breath in my bed. In this work, I attempted to depict the emotions towards such things of the distant past that I had grazed and forgotten in my daily life. The pale colors of the analogue touch are used to express an atmosphere as if in a dream.
