Hibiscus Season
SYNOPSIS
1993年1月のザイール。8才のフランス人の少女、レイチェルの家族は、キンシャサのコンゴ川を見下ろす家に住んでいる。市民の生活の営み（買い物、ランチ、昼寝…）は、ザイール軍人の略奪により破壊される。幸運なことに、レイチェルの家族は暴力から逃れられた。彼女の母と姉妹は、フランス大使館に避難し、事態が落ち着くのを待つ。
Zaire, January 1993. Rachel's family, an 8-year-old French girl, lives in Kinshasa in a house overlooking the Congo River. Following the usual routine (shopping, lunch, nap ...) the city is subjected to violent looting by Zairean soldiers. Luckily, Rachel's family escapes their violence. She, her mother and her sister take refuge at the French Embassy and wait for the events to calm down.

Éléonore Goldberg
フランス系カナダ人のアニメーション監督、作家、漫画家。2006年より、グラフィック・ノベルを共作で出版。彼女の著作は、グラフィック・ノベル『La demoiselle en blanc』（2006年、Éditions Mécanique généraleより出版）、小説『Maisons fauves』（2019年、Éditions Triptyqueより出版）。短編アニメーション『Wandering』は、2014年のケベック映画賞にノミネートされた。2017年にはピックボイス・プロダクションとカナダ国立映画製作庁のプロデュースで、『My Yiddish Papi』を完成させた。
Eleonore Goldberg is a Franco-Canadian animation filmmaker, author and cartoonist.
She has published her graphic novels with collectives since 2006. She illustrated the graphic novel La demoiselle en blanc (2016, Éditions Mécanique générale), and she wrote the novel Maisons fauves (2019, Éditions Triptyque). The animated short-film Wandering was nominated at the Gala du cinéma québécois in 2014. In 2017, Éléonore completed My Yiddish Papi, with Picbois Productions and the National Film Board of Canada.
