Born in the Netherlands and of Pakistani descent, Fayaz Jafri is an artist, curator, and educator based in New York. Hyperbole reflections of the tropes of popular media are at the center of his work. The work is seeded in observation of cultural discourse and is the search for a visual language rooted in its vernacular.
