Simon Gerbaud

1976年、フランス・オセール生まれ。ソルボンヌ大学にてビジュアル・アーツについての理論的な研究を行ったのち、ドローイングとアニメーションを独学。短編、パラパラ漫画、インタラクティブなインスタレーションを制作することに興味を持つようになった。メキシコ、スペイン、フランス、オランダ、ロシア、中国、イラクなど様々な国の映画祭や展覧会に参加している。2005年以降、メキシコを拠点としており、現在ではESCINE学校のシネマティック・アニメーション学科の学科長を務めている。

After conducting theoretical studies on Visual Arts at the Sorbonne, he became interested in exploring drawing and animation in a self-taught way, capturing it both in short films and in interactive installations. He has participated in exhibitions, animation and video art festivals in Mexico, Spain, France, the United States, the Netherlands, China, Japan and Iraq, among others. He lives and works in Mexico since 2005 and he is currently director of the Degree in Cinematographic Animation at the ESCINE school.
