SYNOPSIS
ガブリエルはデスバレーの近くまで来て、言葉を交わさない2人の両親の間で立ち往生する。不可能と思われた状況だったが、思いがけない出来事がすべてを解放していく...。
Gabrielle finds herself stuck near Death Valley, between two parents who no longer speak to each other. The situation seems impossible, until an unexpected event comes to unravel everything...

Mathilde Parquet
1990年生まれ。セーヴルで美術を学んだ後、EMCAスクールとラ・プードリエールでアニメーションを学び、アヌシー映画祭に出品された『Louis』（2013年）と『Little man』（2015年）を監督した。その後、アニメーターや絵コンテを担当し、いくつかのプロジェクトに参加している。2020年には、初のプロフェッショナル作品である本作を完成。キャラクターの内面を表現するために、この作品においても、奇妙な、あるいは幻想的な世界を探求している。
Born in 1990, Mathilde Parquet studied art at l’Atelier de Sèvres, then animation at EMCA school and La Poudrière, where she directed Louis (2013) and Little man (2015) both selected at the Annecy Festival. She then started working as an animator and storyboarder on several projects. In 2020, she finalizes her first professional short film, Trona Pinnacles wherein she explores once again the strange, or even the fantastic, to express the interiority of her characters.
