銀色の鳥と虹色の魚 Silver Bird and Rainbow Fish
SYNOPSIS
"私たち家族は特別だ”と語るのは、映画監督レイ･レイの父、レイ･ジャーチー。創意に富み、心を打つアニメーション映画の音声トラックで、彼は1960年代の激動の時代での家族の苦悩を語り始める。実の父親であるレイ･ティンが田舎に送られ、ジャーチーは妹と病気の母親と一緒に残った。母親が亡くなると、制度上ティンは戻って子供たちと暮らすことができず、子供たちは孤児院に預けられる。ほどなくして、歴史はまたしても繰り返す。ティンは裏切り者の烙印を押され、再教育施設に送られることになる。家族はバラバラになり、手紙を送り合うことしかできない。娘たちは大学へ進学し、ジャーチーは新しい母親と共に田舎へ送られる。彼らは皆、再会する日を待っている。
“Our family is special”, says filmmaker Lei Lei’s father Lei Jiaqi. On the audio track of this inventive, poignant animation film he starts to talk about the struggles of his family amid the tumultuous times in the 1960s. When his own father, Lei Ting, is sent to the countryside, he stays behind with his sister and his ill mother. When Mum passes away, as the system forbids Ting to come back to live with his children, the kids are kept in an orphanage. Not long after, history repeated: once again, Ting is sent to a re-education center branded a class traitor. The family is split. They just can write to each other. The daughters are going to university, while Jiaqi and his new mum are sent to the countryside. They all wait for the day to reunite.

レイ･レイはグラフィックデザイン、イラスト、短編アニメ、グラフィティ、音楽などのマルチメディアを駆使する新進気鋭の中国人アニメーションアーティスト。2009年、清華大学で修士号を取得。2010年に『THIS IS LOVE』がオタワ国際アニメーション映画祭で上映され、最優秀物語短編賞を受賞した。2013年には『RECYCLED』がアヌシー国際アニメーション映画祭に選出され、オランダ国際アニメーション映画祭では短編部門グランプリ（ノンナラティブ）を受賞した。2014年にはザグレブとオランダの国際アニメーション映画祭で審査員を務め、2014年アジアン・カルチュラル・カウンシル・グラントを受賞した。最新作は、2022年のロッテルダム国際映画祭に選出された映画『銀色の鳥と虹色の魚』（2022）である。
LEI Lei is an up-and-coming multimedia Chinese animation artist with his hands on graphic design, illustration, short cartoon, graffiti and music. In 2009 he received his master’s degree from Tsinghua University. In 2010, his film THIS IS LOVE was shown at the Ottawa International Animation Festival and awarded the Best Narrative Short. In 2013 his film RECYCLED was selected by Annecy festival and was the Grand Prix shorts winner - non-narrative at Holland International Animation Film Festival. In 2014 he was on the Jury of Zagreb / Holland International Animation Film Festival and the winner of 2014 asian cultural council grant. His latest work is the film SILVER BIRD AND RAINBOW FISH (2022), selected at IFFR 2022.
