SYNOPSIS
２隻の船が港で衝突し、爆発と共に街は壊滅、船員は空へと吹き飛ばされる。耳鳴りが始まり、心臓はバクバクし、胸がむかつきながらも、大混乱を突き抜け上昇し、偉大なる未知の世界へと近づいていく。コメディ・サスペンス・哲学の要素が大胆に入り混じり、存在の不思議さと儚さをワクワクしながら熟考できる作品。
Two ships collide in a harbour, an explosion shatters a city, and a sailor is blasted skyward. With ears ringing, blood pulsing and guts heaving, he soars high above the mayhem and towards the great unknown. Amanda Forbis, Wendy Tilby
ウェンディ･ティルビーは、ビクトリア大学で視覚芸術と文学を学んだのち、エミリー･カー美術大学で映画とアニメーションを専攻する。学生時代に制作した映画『Tables of Content』の成功により、モントリオールにあるカナダ国立映画制作庁に招かれた。
アマンダ･フォービスはレスブリッジ大学にて演劇と美術を学んだのち、バンクーバーにあるエミリー･カー美術大学で映画・映像･アニメーションを学ぶ。1990年には教育映画『The Reluctant Deckhand』のアニメーション監督として国立映画制作庁（バンクーバー）に入る。1995年にはウェンディ･ティルビーより『When the Day Breaks （1999）』を共同制作しようと誘われ、モントリオールに招かれた。
Wendy Tilby studied visual arts and literature at the University of Victoria before attending the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, where she majored in film and animation. With the success of her student film, Tables of Content, Tilby was invited to join the National Film Board of Canada in Montreal.
Amanda Forbis studied theatre and fine art at the University of Lethbridge before attending the Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, where she studied film, video and animation. She joined the National Film Board of Canada (Vancouver) in 1990 as animation director on an educational film titled The Reluctant Deckhand. In 1995, Wendy Tilby invited her to Montreal to co-direct When the Day Breaks (1999).
