とつくにの少女 The Girl from the Other Side
SYNOPSIS
昔々、遠く遥けき地に二つの国ありて――。
世界は「内」と「外」に分断、
呪いをもたらす異形が棲まう地は“外つ国”と呼ばれ、
人々から恐れられていた。
ある日、人住まう地“内つ国”との国境で
一体の異形が打ち捨てられた 死体の中から一人の少女を拾う。
少女は自らを「シーヴァ」と名乗り、
自身を拾った異形を「せんせ」と慕った。
相容れぬ者同士が出会ったのち紡がれる、
密やかな調べ――。
これは朝と夜、
その宵に佇む、
ふたりの為の物語。
Once upon a time, in a far, faraway place, there were two lands.
The world was divided into an inner land and an outer land.
People feared the outer land, inhabited by eerie beings, the carriers of curse.
One day, on the border to the inner land inhabited by humans,
one such being finds a girl on heaps of abandoned dead bodies.
The girl says her name is Shiva
and shows affection to the ”being” who found her, calling him ”Teacher.”
This is a story of two people—
one human, one inhuman—
who linger in the hazy twilight
that separates night from day.

米谷 聡美 (Satomi Maiya), 久保 雄太郎 (Yutaro Kubo)
1990年大分県出身。東京工芸大学、東京藝術大学大学院でアニメーションを学び、2014年よりフリーランス。
インクなどの画材を用いて手描きの短編アニメーションを制作。
国際映画祭を舞台に作品を発表し、「Kicking Rock」(2013)が プチョン国際アニメーション映画祭(韓国)オンライン部門 グランプリ受賞、 「00:08」 (2014) がAnima Mundi (ブラジル) ベストギャラリー賞受賞、その他にも、アヌシー、ザグレブ、オタワなどの主要アニメーション映画祭にノミネート。
日本アニメーション協会理事。
米谷 聡美
1990年宮城県出身。東京工芸大学、東京藝術大学大学院でアニメーションを学び、2015年よりフリーランス。
パステルなどの画材を使用した暖かみのあるアニメーションやイラストを制作。
「白いうなばら」(2015)がエスピンホ国際アニメーション映画祭 AnimatedMermaid-PROMOTION AWARD受賞 、「The closet」が16th Digicon6 JAPAN NextGeneration、ASIA Next Generation二部門受賞など国内外で評価を得る。
その他、主要アニメーション映画祭での上映多数。
Yutaro Kubo
Born in Oita Prefecture in 1990. Studied animation in Tokyo Polytechnic University and Graduate School, Tokyo University of the Arts. Started to work as a freelance animation artist from 2014. He has created short animation works by using ink and other art supplies.
Satomi Maiya
Born in Miyagi Prefecture in 1990. Studied animation in Tokyo Polytechnic University and Graduate School, Tokyo University of the Arts. Started to work as a freelance animation artist from 2015. She specializes in creating heart-warming animation works and illustrations by using pastels.
