岩崎 宏俊
Hirotoshi Iwasaki1981年茨城県生まれ。2019年 東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科先端芸術表現領域博士後期過程を修了。博士(美術)。ロトスコープという既成の実写映像をベースにアニメーションを制作する方法に着目し、シュルレアリスムなどの20世紀の前衛芸術運動と比較し体系化した独自のロトスコープ論を確立。ロトスコープによる混淆する運動やその非完結性の探求を続けている。作品は映画や美術を越境的に展開する他、コミッションワークとしてCalvin Kleinのキャンペーンイメージや、THE NEW YORK TIMES OPINIONに掲載されたエッセイをイメージしたアニメーションを制作し、本紙の一面に掲載されるなど多岐にわたる。2015年オランダ国際アニメーション映画祭でグランプリを受賞。
Born in Japan in 1981. Hirotoshi Iwasaki is video artist using experimental animation, graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with Doctor’s degree in Fine Arts 2019. His research theme is about comparing Rotoscoping with 20th century avant-garde art movement, and also focuses and explores the disposition of co-presence. He received Grand Prix non-narrative short at Holland Animation Film Festival 2015. As a commissioned work, he created animations for the Calvin Klein campaign, an animation for an essay published in The New York Times.
