擬似的風光研究 -煙の地- Simulated Scenery Study: Land of Smoke
SYNOPSIS
本作では、北海道の苫小牧市とその周辺地域にまつわる郷土資料から、主に紙媒体の記録像とともに紙面に現れた傷や染みなどの物質的状態もそれぞれの資料固有のイメージとして抽出した。意識的に残された記録と無意識的に或いは、自然に資料に宿る記憶（物質的痕跡、経年劣化）とが交錯する風景映画として再構成している。タイトルの「擬似的風光研究」とは、ファウンドフッテージの技法を応用したランドスケープの空間的、時間的表現やロードムービー的な映画表現についての探究を意味している。出典は苫小牧市美術博物館郷土資料。
This film extracts elements from local historical materials related to Tomakomai City and its surrounding areas, focusing primarily on paper-based records. It captures the unique images of each material, including the physical conditions such as scratches and stains that have appeared on the paper over time. The film reconfigures these elements into a landscape movie, where intentionally preserved records and unconsciously or naturally embedded memories (physical traces, aging) intersect. The title, “Simulated Scenery Study" refers to an exploration of spatial and temporal expressions of landscapes using found footage techniques, as well as cinematic expressions reminiscent of road movies. The materials are sourced from Tomakomai City Museum.

2004年北海道教育大学大学院修了。2012年ケルンメディア芸術大学特別研究員。札幌市在住。『動画構造の解体と再構築』をテーマとして映像作品の制作及び、表現研究に取り組む。近年は古写真や絵葉書などのビジュアル資料を素材として扱いファウンドフッテージの現代的な展開を探究している。また、上映会の企画やプリミティブな手法を基軸とする映像ワークショップなども手がける。作品の主な上映・展示に、オーバーハウゼン国際短編映画祭、モスクワ国際実験映画祭、ドレスデン国際短編映画祭、ロッテルダム国際映画祭、新千歳空港国際アニメーション映画祭、イメージフォーラムフェスティバル、苫小牧市美術博物館中庭展示「MONOGRAMS」、北海道立近代美術館特別展「北海道151年のヴンダーカンマー」など。現在、北海道情報大学情報メディア学部准教授。
Graduated from the Graduate School of Hokkaido University of Education in 2004. In 2012, served as a Special Research Fellow at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Currently based in Sapporo, the artist focuses on producing films and conducting research under the theme of "Deconstruction and Reconstruction of Moving Image Structures." In recent years, they have been exploring contemporary developments in found footage while using visual materials such as old photographs and postcards as source material. Additionally, they organize film screenings and lead workshops centered on primitive filmmaking techniques. Currently, He is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Hokkaido Information University.
