Sweeter is the Night
SYNOPSIS
1960年代の初め、西アフリカの多くの国々が独立した頃、ある若いフランス人の将校が、行方不明の宣教師を捜すよう本国から命令を受けた。不信と無関心、沈黙と偏見のただなかで捜査を行い、若き将校は海岸の明かりから遠く離れた、昼と夜が溶け合う場所へと向かうことになる。
In the early 1960s, at a time of independence in West Africa, a young French officer is commissioned by the metropolis to find a missing missionary priest. An investigation amid mistrust and indifference, silence and prejudice, that takes the young officer far from the light of the shores, where day and night merge.

Fabienne Wagenaar
ファビエンヌ・ワーヘナールはフランスのエコール・エスティエンヌとストラスブール国立高等装飾美術学校でイラストレーションを学んだ後、ドイツのハンブルク応用科学大学との交流プログラム中に動画へと方向を転換。続いてフランスのヴァランスにあるアニメーション映画学校ラ・プードリエールに進み、2014年に卒業した。パリを拠点に個人プロジェクトと、委嘱された映画やテレビ番組の監督、助監督、グラフィック・デザイナーやセット・デザイナーなどの仕事を代わる代わるこなし、さらに出版社や法人向けにイラストレーションのデザインも行っている。
Fabienne Wagenaar studied illustration at the École Estienne and the École des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg (HEAR) in France, before turning to the moving image during an exchange program with HAW-Hamburg University (Germany). She continued her studies at La Poudrière, an animation filmmaking school in Valence, France, from which she graduated in 2014. Based in Paris, she alternates between personal projects and commissioned work for film and television as a director, assistant director, graphic designer or set designer. She also designs illustrations for publishing and corporate clients.
