日本コンペティション Japan Competition

制作国に日本が含まれる作品のプログラム。商業アニメ界で頭角を現す若手の劇場作品、夢を見ながら浮遊する魂、深夜の高速道路の休憩所、胎内くぐり、謎の生き物との奇妙な交流、2組の作家による切り絵アニメーション、縦型スマホ向けのMV、整形体験の記録、友人を救えなかった自責の念、映像資料を元に再構成した風景映像といった多種多様なスタイル、ルーツをもつ作品群から今の「日本」を感じてほしい。

This is the program for works that include Japan as its country of production. These works include theatrical work by rising newcomers in the commercial animation industry, a soul that floats around as it dreams, a rest area by the freeway late at night, “walk through the womb” ritual, strange interaction with a mysterious being, kirie (paper-cutting) animation by two groups of artists, a music video for a vertical smartphone screen, a record of plastic surgery, guilty conscience for failing to save a friend, scenic video made by recomposing video materials. It is our hope that the viewers will feel modern Japan through their wide variety of styles and roots.
