SYNOPSIS
流星群の夜、街は雪雲に覆われていた。雲の切れ間を探して旅に出た少年とノーマンは、気球に乗った不思議な青年に出会う。前作の人気を受けて制作されたシリーズ第2作目。第21回文化庁メディア芸術祭 審査委員会推薦作品。
On the night of the meteor shower, the city was covered by snow clouds. A boy and Norman, who set off on a journey in search of a break in the clouds, encounter a strange youth in a hot air balloon. It is the second in the series, produced in response to the popularity of the previous work.

1969年、秋田県生まれ。人形アニメーション監督／アニメーター／人形造形。東京芸術大学デザイン科卒業。実写を中心にCMディレクターとしての活動を経て、短編アニメーション「ノーマン・ザ・スノーマン」を制作したことをきっかけにストップモーションアニメーションに傾倒、現在はTECARATを立ち上げアニメーションを軸足に活動している。手から作り出される美術の素材感を重要と考え、脚本・監督とともに、自ら美術、アニメート、木彫による人形造形を行う。監督作品『ごん GON, THE LITTLE FOX』『眠れない夜の月』『ノーマン・ザ・スノーマン』などは多数の映画賞を受賞している。『NHK朝ドラ「ブギウギ」オープニング』、『HIDARI』では人形造形を担当。『プックラポッタと森の時間』はアニメーションでは難しいとされる屋外撮影に挑んだ実験作。最近作『NHKプチプチアニメ 春告げ魚と風来坊』では花と人形の共演を実現した。
Born in Akita Prefecture in 1969. After graduating from the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts, he worked as a commercial director, primarily in live-action. He became dedicated to stop-motion animation after creating the short animation “Norman the Snowman”. He has since established TECARAT and is now active with a focus on animation. He places great importance on the texture of the sets and puppets created by hand, and in addition to writing and directing, he also handles the art design, animation, and puppet sculpting (often using wood carving) himself. His directorial works, including “GON, THE LITTLE FOX”, “The Moon on a Sleepless Night”, and “Norman the Snowman”, have won numerous film awards. He was in charge of puppet design for the opening of the NHK morning drama “Boogie Woogie “and for “HIDARI”. “Pukkulapottas and Hours in the Forest” is an experimental work that took on the challenge of outdoor shooting, which is considered difficult in animation. His most recent work, the NHK show TinyTales Stop Motion Shorts "Haru-tsuge Fish and Fu-rai Boy", realized a collaboration between flowers and puppets.
