北海道出身のアニメーション監督・今 敏氏による長編アニメーション作品『東京ゴッドファーザーズ』4Kデジタルリマスター版を、クリスマス特別企画として北海道初上映します。
As a special Christmas presentation, this program features the Hokkaido premiere of the 4K digitally remastered version of Tokyo Godfathers, a feature-length animated film by Hokkaido-born animation director Satoshi Kon.
SYNOPSIS
ギンちゃん、ハナちゃん、ミユキ-。新宿で暮らすホームレス３人組の前に、意外なクリスマス・プレゼントがやってきた。ゴミの山の中で生まれたばかりの赤ちゃんを発見したのだ。勝手に“清子”と命名し、ゴッドファーザー（名づけ親）となった３人は、雪ふる街を、親を探してさまよい歩く。ウラ東京で、人生を生き抜くホームレスたちが、急転する「運命」の中で出遭う＜奇跡＞とは。
In modern-day Tokyo, three homeless people’s lives are changed forever when they discover a baby girl at a garbage dump on Christmas Eve. As the New Year fast approaches, these three forgotten members of society band together to solve the mystery of the abandoned child and the fate of her parents. Along the way, encounters with seemingly unrelated events and people force them to confront their own haunted pasts, as they learn to face their future, together.
