Evacuations
SYNOPSIS
誰もいない公共の場で撮られたここ最近の写真たち。その上にぼんやりとした人々の姿がペイントされる。セルアニメーションと絵の具の塗りつぶし。その中で様々な動きを繰り返す人々。その動きが表現するのは、我々が今、この瞬間で感じる無力で必死なエネルギーだ。様々な“避難”の連続と言える作品。地球と内臓が空っぽになり、世界がパニック状態に。人々がいる場所から動き出し、環境がディゾルブし写真が消えていく。
Painted formless figures haunt recent photos of emptied-out public spaces. As cel-animated smear frames, they perform various repetitive acts in these settings, with movements expressing a helpless, frantic energy felt in our current moment. The film is a string of varied evacuations – earth and organs are emptied, situations are fled. The figures become displaced from their locations, as their environments dissolve and their printed record evaporates.

Lilli CARRÉ
リリ・カレーはロサンゼルスを拠点とする、ジャンルを横断して活動するアーティスト兼作家。彼女のアニメーション作品はサンダンス映画祭、ロッテルダム国際映画祭（IFFR）、25FPS、アヌシー国際アニメーション映画祭、EMAF、新千歳空港国際アニメーション映画祭、アナーバー映画祭などで上映されてきた。2010年に設立されたEyeworks Experimental Animation Seriesを共同キュレーションしており、2024年には映画・映像部門のグッゲンハイム・フェローに選出。現在はカリフォルニア芸術大学（CalArts）のExperimental Animationプログラムで教鞭をとっている。
Lilli Carré is an interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Her animated films have shown in festivals including the Sundance Film Festival, IFFR, 25FPS, Annecy, EMAF, New Chitose Animation Festival, and the Ann Arbor Film Festival. She is the co-curator of the annual Eyeworks Experimental Animation Series, founded in 2010. She is a 2024 Guggenheim Fellow in Film-Video and currently teaches in the Experimental Animation program at CalArts.
