SYNOPSIS
OGRE YOU ASSHOLEによる楽曲「君よりも君らしい」のMusic Video。タイトルが示すように、この曲は自分自身と、自分によく似た他者(おそらく他人の空似でなく、ロボット、AI、クローン等のテクノロジーによって生み出された存在)についてを歌ったものである。このことから、2つの異なるビジュアル・スタイルが交互に行き来し、その二面性を反映したビデオを制作するというアイデアが生まれた。紙にペンで作画した手描きのシーンと、解像度が下がってピクセル化されたシーンを象徴的に扱いながら、その２つの質感がどんどんと混ざり合って最後は粒子になっていくような道筋を辿っていく。
Music video for the song “more you than you” by OGRE YOU ASSHOLE. As the title suggests, the song explores the relationship between the self and another being that closely resembles the self—perhaps not just a lookalike, but something born from technology, like a robot, AI, or clone. This inspired the initial idea of creating a video where two different visual styles alternate back and forth, reflecting that duality. The piece uses two contrasting textures: hand-drawn scenes made with pen on paper, and pixelated, low-resolution imagery. As the video progresses, these two visual languages gradually begin to blend, eventually dissolving into particles—symbolizing the merging or breakdown of boundaries between the two.

オオクボリュウ (OKUBO Ryu)
1989年、神奈川県・鎌倉市生まれ。幼少期をアメリカ・ニューオリンズで過ごす。2012年、多摩美術大学グラフィックデザイン学科卒業。在学中に手描きのアニメーションを制作したことをきっかけに、卒業後から本格的にアーティスト活動を開始。これまでにミュージックビデオやレコードジャケット、マーチャンダイズなど、音楽にまつわるアートワークを数多く手がける。2025年に自身のスタジオ RYU OKUBO ART STUDIO を設立。
Born in 1989 in Kamakura, Kanagawa, Japan. Spent his early childhood in New Orleans, USA. Graduated from the Department of Graphic Design at Tama Art University in 2012. While still a student, he began creating hand-drawn animations, which led him to pursue a full-fledged career as an artist after graduation. Since then, he has worked extensively on music-related artwork, including music videos, record jackets, and merchandise. In 2025, he established his own studio, RYU OKUBO ART STUDIO.
