Silent Panorama
SYNOPSIS
ある絵が徐々に形になっていく様子を描いた短編アニメーション。逃走するイノシシの物語、そして、かつては自然界だった場所を人々が支配していく様子を描く物語。ベルギーのアルデンヌ地方を散歩した時の記憶がストーリーの基になった。また、この映画は、たった１枚の紙に絵を描きアニメーション化を実現させた、１つの“パフォーマンス”でもある。
In this animated miniature a drawing gradually comes to life before our eyes, telling a story not only of a wild boar on the run, but also of the ways in which people occupy the places that used to belong to nature. Based on memories of a walk in the Belgian Ardennes. This film was drawn and animated alone on a single sheet of paper as a performance.

Nicolas PIRET
ニコラ・ピレはベルギー出身のアーティスト兼監督。王立美術アカデミーおよびENSAV La Cambreを卒業。現代ドローイング、コミック、アニメーションの多様な背景から、卒業制作として『La Bride - The Dog's Leash』（2022年）を発表し、学生アカデミー賞に選出された。2024年には『Silent Panorama』を監督し、ロッテルダム国際映画祭（IFFR）でワールドプレミア上映、その後カルロヴィ・ヴァリ、アヌシー、トロント国際映画祭（TIFF）で上映された。ピレの作品は、全編を一人で手描きし細部にまでこだわる手法により、アメリカン・フィルム・インスティテュートからその技術を高く評価されている。
Nicolas Piret is a Belgian artist and director who graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and ENSAV La Cambre. His various backgrounds in contemporary drawing, comics and animation led to his graduation film La bride - The dog's leash (2022), selected at the Student Academy Awards®. In 2024, he directed Silent Panorama, which had its world premiere at the IFFR in Rotterdam, followed by Karlovy Vary, Annecy and Toronto (TIFF). His films, animated alone and entirely by hand with meticulous attention to detail, have been recognized for their craft by the American Film Institute.
