東京国立近代美術館フィルムセンターが進めている日本の初期アニメーション作品のデジタル化に関する経過報告プログラム。大藤信郎、瀬尾光世をはじめとして、日本のアニメーション史に燦然と輝くアニメーション作家たちから、名も知れぬ作り手まで、100本近くの旧作が一挙にオンライン視聴可能になります。本プログラムでは、オンライン公開に先駆け、デジタル化プロジェクト自体と上映作品についての歴史的背景の解説つきで、選りすぐり映像をいち早くお届けします。
National Film Center, the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, is now progressing a program of digitalizing Japanese early animated cartoons. As the result of this program, almost 100 classical Japanese animated films will be put online. This collection includes rare films by famous animators like Noburo Ofuji and Mitsuyo Seo as well as unique films by unknown animators. In this program, you can watch the digitalized films ahead of the online release along with a talk by Hitomi Matsuyama from the National Film Center, who will explain the aim of the project and the historical importance of these films.
