ハン・ジウォンは、ソウルを拠点に活動するアニメーション映画監督、イラストレーター、コミック作家です。彼女の作品は若者の夢や感情体験を描き、プレッシャーの強い社会に生きる登場人物の主観的な瞬間に焦点を当てる。韓国芸術総合学校在学中に制作した短編アニメーション『Kopi Luwak』で映画制作を始め、同作は2010年のソウル・インディ・アニフェストで大賞を受賞しました。その後、自身の短編アニメーションをまとめた長編作品『Clearer Than You Think』を発表。ほかにウェブアニメーションシリーズ『Recipe to My Daughter』、Kakao TVウェブドラマ『Amanza』への参加、チェ・ウンヨンの小説を原作とした短編アニメーションシリーズ『That Summer』など。さらにオリジナル長編アニメーション映画『Lost in Starlight』は、Climax Studioとの共同制作により、Netflixが韓国で初めて製作・公開したアニメーション作品となる。

HAN Jiwon is an animated film director, illustrator, and comic book writer based in Seoul, Korea. Her work often explores the dreams and emotional experiences of youth, focusing on the subjective moments of characters living in Korea’s pressure-filled society. HAN Jiwon began her film career with the short animation Kopi Luwak while studying at the Korean National University of Arts, which earned her the Grand Prize at the Seoul Indie Ani-fest in 2010. She later released a feature-length compilation of her short animations, Clearer Than You Think. Her projects include the web animation series Recipe to My Daughter, contributions to the Kakao TV web drama Amanza, and the short-form animated series That Summer, based on the original novel by Choi Eun-young. This original animated film ’Lost in Starlight’ is the first animation produced and released by Netflix in Korea, in collaboration with Climax Studio.
